This project is the result of a family collaboration: a story imagined by my nephew Pato, written by his dad, and illustrated by me. It follows Magritte—their dog—on an epic adventure from a quiet farm where she cared for animals, through deserts, mountains, and jungles, all the way to Madrid. Along the way, Magritte dreams of finding a true friend. That dream comes true when she meets Tessy and Emilio, who adopt her with love… and later, bring into the world the one she had been waiting for all along: Pato. Every page of the book is a tribute to childhood imagination, to chosen family, and to the silent bonds we build with the creatures that walk alongside us.
