Illustrated edition of Juan José Arreola’s Bestiario, designed with a continuous narrative where each drawing builds on the previous, creating a visual thread across independent stories.

This editorial project involved the creation of a cohesive illustrated edition of Bestiario, using a minimalist yet expressive style. All illustrations were done in ink, composed solely of thin, clean lines, intentionally avoiding shadows or color to maintain graphic consistency. A conceptual narrative was created where a boa constrictor —introduced in the first illustration— appears progressively devouring the other animals, culminating with the birds of prey. This visual storyline provides continuity and rhythm to a literary work made of discrete animal fables, offering readers a new and engaging layer of interpretation.
